Taste of Heaven Tofu Dishes
EGG-like SALAD 1 pkg tofu, firm, water packed ¼ tsp turmeric ¼ tsp sea salt 1 T nutritional yeast flakes 1 T Chicken-like Seasoning ¼ tsp garlic powder ¾ c Tofu “Miracle Whip” (see below) Tofu “MIRACLE WHIP” 1 pkg tofu, firm Mori-Nu silken ¼ c soy milk powder 2 T lemon juice ½ tsp onion powder 1 tsp sea salt 2 T canola oil ¼ tsp garlic powder 2 T turbinado sugar TOFU “MIRACLE WHIP”: Blend all ingredients until smooth. Chill. EGG-like SALAD: Crumble tofu in a bowl. Mix remaining ingredients. Use it as sandwich filling or serve on toast, crackers, baked chips, etc. Delicious! TOFU PATTIES (mini size) 1 pkg tofu, firm, water packed 1 c whole wheat bread crumbs ½ c chopped walnuts 1 onion, minced ¼ tsp garlic powder 1 tsp sage 1 tsp sea salt 2 T nutritional yeast flakes Mash tofu with a potato masher or fork in a bowl. Add remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly with hand. Make mini patties. Cook in a hot oiled skillet until brown on both sides. Freezes well. Very tasty! TASTE OF HEAVEN PUDDING ½ c soy milk 1 pkg tofu, firm, Mori-nu silken ¼ c carob powder 1 T coffee substitute, Roma, Caffix ½ c turbinado sugar ¼ tsp sea salt 1 tsp vanilla Blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth. It will thicken as it sets. Keep it in a refrigerator for 1-2 hours before serving. |
